How to pick the right family photographer for your family.
When it comes to finding the right family photographer, there are a lot of things to consider. I don't know about where you live, but here in Nashville there are so many options to choose from. So how do you know who will be the best for your family? You want someone who will make you and your family feel comfortable, capture your personalities perfectly, and deliver quality photos that you'll cherish for years to come. Here are some tips on how to pick the perfect photographer for your family!
Maternity Shoot: Baby Bump and Brevé
Grace and Jonny welcoming their first baby wanted to document the sweet time of waiting and preparing for their little bundle’s arrival by incorporating a contemporary spin to their maternity session in a local coffee shop. How fun is that! We began capturing this meaningful season in their baby girl's nursery. The room was so full of light and life which made it perfect to document Grace’s baby bump and all her natural beauty. And Jonny was the perfect gentleman, constantly doting on his wife and making sure she was comfortable. After a quick outfit change we headed down the street to Café Roze for some afternoon lattes and more fun photos. This part of the session was seriously so much fun. Capturing their love and excitement for the season ahead in such a creative way without a care of how busy the café was or who was around to watch. Grace and I have due dates two days apart! I'm so looking forward to getting to be moms in the same season of life together!
My Photoshoot Location Bucket List
I have been a photographer for years, and one of my favorite things to do is travel to new places to do photoshoots. I wish I could do it more! But I have been so fortunate to travel to some amazing locations. There are still so many places on my bucket list that I want to visit though. Whether they seem big or small to you, I really want to do a photoshoot at each of these places. Of course the more obvious choices, like Paris or Vienna are always on the list but here are some that are a little less on the nose and in the states! SO if you’re interested in taking me on an adventure for your next photoshoot to one of these places, I am SO there!
Let’s Recap! U District Studio Minis in Seattle, WA
I kicked off the 2022 year with a day of mini sessions in Washington state and oh was it so much fun! You may not know, but I’m a Washington state native. Born and raised in Edmonds, WA, I moved out to Nashville, TN in 2013 where I studied at Belmont University and loved it so much I stayed. Now married, both sides of my family still live in WA so when we visit I love planning mini sessions to keep serving my clients in the great Northwest! I found this cute, light, minimalist studio nestled in the streets of U District, downtown Seattle through a venue rental site that I love to use called Peerspace!
Let’s Recap! 2021’s Christmas Tree Farm Minis
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and who doesn’t love Christmas tree photos? I was so excited to see my Christmas Tree Farm Mini Day fill up quickly, so much so that I decided to make this an annual thing! This gorgeous lush green is brought to you by Christmas Tree Adventures, a farm located in Hendersonville, TN. They were absolutely great to work with. My families all had such cute style! Some took a classic red and green Christmas themed approach while others went for their own twist of caramels and creams or blues and grays.
